Ice Washing

It is the process of reduction of denim products to a very light blue color. Since too much hypo or permanganate is used to reach the desired color, the neutralization procedure must be done very well. It should be known that the hypo amount is excessive and that the product will be weakened. In such a wash, the risk of reeling is greater than in other washings.

Because of this, it is necessary to pay attention to the conditions of presentation and storage for ice-washed products. The accessories used in these products are affected badly due to excessive hypo usage and cause rust and stain problems. Ice washing, which causes lycra deterioration in lycra fabrics, is made using permanganate in these types of fabrics.
